2021 SHE Awards - Shortlist

After winning the award for Team of the Year earlier this year at the postponed 2020 SHE Awards, Hunter Safety Group were delighted to have been shortlisted for 3 categories at the 2021 ceremony. To be recognised at such a prestigious health and safety event is fantastic for our teams!

The three awards are:

Best Health and Safety Project

Best Health and Safety Manager: Luke Hunt

Rising Star: Hollie Caldwell-Burns

PROJECT

“Hunter Safety Group provided health, safety and wellbeing management on a €250 Million project based at the port of Rotterdam. The sustainability project aimed to build one of the first carbon neutral factories in the world, producing healthy drinks for worldwide consumption. Whilst working on this project, Hunter Safety Denmark reached 1,000,000 hours without a reportable accident or incident.

Hunter Safety Group have been fundamental in supporting the safe design of the factory, as well as working closely with the client to produce the integrated health and safety systems required for the expected opening in late-2021. The construction safe systems of work were also produced and implemented by Hunter, as well as a robust permit to work system and safety awards schemes.”

BEST H&S MANAGER – LUKE HUNT

“Luke oversees the implementation of the health and safety culture and performance, by enabling and empowering everyone on site and within the project teams to take ownership of their own and other’s health, safety and wellbeing. Luke manages a large number of contractors and ensures everyone works safely throughout the site.

Luke is an imaginative, decisive, and effective leader for health, safety and wellbeing on any project he is involved with. He is passionate about looking for new innovative ways to promote and involve everyone in health and safety, whilst also educating those he works with.”

RISING STAR

“Hollie has been instrumental in implementing the health and safety strategy to improve standards on the site she works on. Hollie’s role and commitment to the health and safety of her project has ensured a safer working environment for all involved.

Hollie has established herself as a ‘go to’ person for both the company and the project she is currently working on. Hollie’s personality and enthusiasm for her job sets her apart from other health and safety professionals. We are so excited to see what the future holds for Hollie.”
