Celebrating a Successful Partnership with WDH

Hunter Safety recently completed a successful project with local company WDH.

The consultancy division at Hunter Safety worked with the housing association on a large-scale fire safety project, which saw 440 fire risk assessments completed on blocks of low rise flats with communal areas. The assessments took place on properties located in and around the Wakefield area, in order to provide an evaluation of fire safety on all properties.

To complete the works, Hunter Safety gathered a team of fire assessors who carried out inspections as well as creating an action plan. The information was uploaded onto a compliance software database to make it easy for the customer, WDH, to see progress and record actions.

Dean Clubley, Estate Project Manager at WDH said: “There has been a great demonstration of willingness from both organisations to work collaboratively to carry out these surveys. A lot of work was completed in a short space of time which is credit to the positive working relationship.”

WDH’s Asset Manager, Martyn Shaw, added: “The results of the risk assessments have independently confirmed that all of our properties are well managed, with no structural or fundamental issues reported. Only a few minor issues were highlighted which we are addressing”.

Hunter Safety wanted to mark the success of this joint achievement and successful partnership.  Managing Director of Hunter Safety, Katie Hunter, said: “We wanted to take this opportunity to thank WDH for such a successful partnership with positive results. We were delighted when the business approached us last year to support their in house team with this fire risk assessment project and we hope to work with WDH again in future on further projects.”
