For the second year, we entered a team into the Dragon Boat Race, raising money for the Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice.
The Hunter Safety Team aka ‘Dragon Hunters’ had a fantastic fundraising day on Saturday Saturday 23rd September 2023 at Pugneys County Park, at the Dragon Boat Race to support the Forget Me Not Children's Hospice for the second year. The team not only met their fundraising target but exceeded it!
In this exciting, fun and highly competitive challenge, our team of paddlers will take part in at least three 250m races in dragon-decorated boats, cheered on by spectators! The fastest crews go through to the semis and finals, with medals for the top three.
Those watching from the shore had plenty to entertain them too. There was an onsite cafe, Forget Me Not pop-up shop, tombolas raffles, prizes, and more.
