Hunter Safetys Shortlist Successes

The team at Hunter Safety have enjoyed three award ceremonies in the last month, after being shortlisted for several local and national awards.

In March, the team were delighted to be announced finalists in three categories at the Committed to Construction in Humber & West Yorkshire Awards 2018 with Contracts Manager Luke Hunt being a runner up in the Achiever of the Year category, the entire team being shortlisted for Team of the Year and the training division being recognised in the training category.

The celebrations continued at the Safety and Health Excellence Awards 2018 in April, at a ceremony in Birmingham, which saw Luke Hunt being highly commended in the ‘Rising Star’ category, and the whole team again being recognised in the ‘Team of the Year’ category.

In the same week, team members enjoyed an evening at the Yorkshire Choice Awards 2018 held at Elland Road, Leeds. As well as Hunter Safety Solutions being up for Independent Business of the Year, Managing Director Katie Hunter also reached the shortlist for Business Woman of the Year. Although the team fell short of the public votes needed to secure the top spot for these accolades, reaching the shortlist was a huge achievement in itself for the first year the company have even considered entering business awards.

MD Katie Hunter said: “The ceremonies have been great events and we feel very privileged to have been nominated for each award. Just to see our name on the screens as finalists is a fantastic achievement. This is a great result for our first year of entering business awards and is a result of the hard work and effort put in by each and every member of the team. We’re looking forward to many more to come!”

Katie has also been shortlisted in the Sue Ryder Yorkshire Women of Achievement awards and will attend a ceremony in May where the winner will be announced. The team will also attend the Eaton Smith Business of the Year Awards 2018 in early July as finalists, after winning Business of the Month in December 2017. Stay tuned for the results!
