Mental Health, Mindfulness and Meditation at Wake Up to Safety

Hunter Safety Solutions have hosted an information and networking session for safety professionals focusing on mindfulness and mental health, delivered by a local specialist.

Jo Cuttle, Learning and Development specialist at Defy Training, presented at the session, sharing research and insight from blue-chip companies and facilitating a discussion around the subject, giving tips and recommendations. Jo concluded by delivering a guided relaxation session for attendees. Jo’s intention is to inspire and support people and businesses to grow beyond their expectations through sessions such as this one.

The company’s head office, Hunter House based in West Yorkshire, was the location of the ‘Wake Up to Safety’ breakfast event. The company hold the events quarterly as an opportunity for directors, senior managers and safety professionals to share best practice and receive health and safety advice.

Katie Hunter, Managing Director at Hunter Safety, said: "The events have been a great success so far with attendees ranging from local and national companies, making for really lively discussions. It was particularly important to me that this event focused on mental health in the workplace, as this is becoming broadly recognised and we want to ensure that business owners and senior professionals are confident in approaching this topic within their teams.”

The next event will cover the implications on health within safety (occupational health) on Tuesday 4th September; and the final session on Tuesday 11th December will cover behavioural safety. The Hunter team are welcoming bookings on these events now; email info@huntersafetysolutions.com or call 01977 878389 to secure your place now.
