Level 2 Award in Supervising Staff Safely award allows the learner to understand the principal legislation relating to health and safety, the enforcement of legislation and the consequences of breaching it. It covers health and management systems and the role of the supervisor in identifying hazards, assessing risks and driving improvement. The course provides a solid foundation for learners preparing to study for the Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health.
This course is ideal for supervisors, team leaders, department heads and junior managers, providing them with the practical knowledge and understanding necessary to their role in promoting health and safety in the workplace.
This course will help delegates to understand the roles and responsibilities for health, safety and welfare in the workplace alongside how risk assessments contribute to health and safety.
Delegates will also understand how to identify and control the risks from common workplace hazards and know the procedures for responding to accidents and incidents.
Assessment is completed after the course via an online portal. Delegates are required to answer 15 questions based on how their workplace activities can be applied to knowledge they have learnt.
