NEBOSH National Construction Certificate (full time)

A well-respected, industry standard certificate for health and safety practitioners, offering a valuable overview of the core aspects of construction health and safety. The course is designed for anyone with health and safety responsibilities on a construction site.

Three sections are covered:

Unit NGC1: Management of health and safety.

Unit NCC1: Managing and controlling hazards in construction activities.

Unit NCC2: Construction health and safety practical application.

COURSE OBJECTIVES

  • Understand common construction site hazards and offer advice on corrective and preventative measurements.
  • Understand the scope, duties and offences of employers, managers and employees.

  • Understand the HASAWA 1974.

  • Understand the legal framework for the regulation of health and safety, including sources and types of law.

  • Understand how to plan and implement an effective health and safety policy on a construction site.

  • How to undertake risk assessments and accident investigations and recommend suitable action.

  • Understand how to undertake a health and safety audit.

  • Understand hazards and risk control.

  • Understand transport hazards and risk control.

  • Understand musculoskeletal hazards and risk control.

  • Understand work equipment hazards and risk control.

  • Understand electrical safety.

  • Understand fire safety.

  • Understand chemical and biological hazards, and risk control.

  • Understand physical and psychological hazards, and risk control.

  • Understand working at height hazards and risk control.

  • Understand hazards and risk controls associated with confined space and excavation works.

  • Understand hazards and risk controls associated with deconstruction projects.
