We held our second annual Corporate Golf Day at The Oaks Golf Club near Bubwith in East Yorkshire on Thursday - and even Storm Ali couldn't dampen the spirits of the customers, sponsors and friends of the business who took part!
Managing Director Katie Hunter said: “We had another fantastic day at The Oaks, which has a wonderful, friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The Hunter Safety team, both golfers and non-golfers, worked incredibly hard to make the day a success. Although the weather was fine to start with, by the end of the day, we were battling our way through gale-force winds and rain!
“We are keen for our Corporate Golf Day to become an annual fixture in the calendar, and we’re very grateful to all our guests and suppliers for attending and supporting this year’s event. I hope everyone had as much fun as we did!”
In total, 33 golfers competed in the event and the overall winner was Dave Jackson of Hemingbrough, with 42 points. A ‘nearest the pin’ competition on the seventh hole was won by Paul Elson, while Jonny Dibnah won the ‘longest drive’ on the tenth hole. A new addition this year was a putting competition, which was won by Mark Traynor, with Leo Ashcroft in second place and Shane Deakin third.
