Hunter Safety Netherlands have been appointed as Health and Safety Coordinator by B-Built B.V. for the design and construction phase of Americold's newest cold storage facility in Dublin. Working with the PSDP (Project Supervisor Design Process) and PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage); B-Built B.V, HSN have provided health and safety advice during the preconstruction and ongoing construction of the cold store, spanning over 14 acres of land.

Americold transports, packages and stores food for a number of well-known food outlets. The new facility in Dublin will provide a strategic location for Ireland’s distribution, and will support export growth at the port gate. The building will include approx. 20,000 frozen and chilled pallet spaces, refrigerated dock space and blast freezing capacity to handle around 1,000 tonnes per week.

The increasingly popular location of the facility will also generate over 100 jobs for the local community and is only a short drive to Dublin port for exportation. The project will support the ongoing growth of the dairy market within Ireland, as well as support the Netherlands, US and China in other expanding food markets. This project is due to finish in May 2022.
