Hunter Safety Netherlands undertook the role of Site Safety Manager, coordinating construction works for a canning line installation project for Brewery Heineken, under the appointment of Gebo Cermex.
This project was a key step in Heinekens new sustainability scheme, aiming to drastically reduce carbon emissions and increase the use of renewable electricity to its power plants.
The team were responsible for ensuring site and local legislation compliance, whilst supporting day-to-day construction operations in a live manufacturing environment. We also helped to strengthen the client’s onsite presence, providing experience, skills and knowledge in conducting construction tasks within food manufacturing.
Hunters collated evidence of the strengths and weaknesses on site, recommending key improvement measures to gain operational excellence. This was done through a series of health and safety reports, safety observations and ultimately corrections.
The team were also involved in promoting a positive health and safety culture on site, embedding this within all staff, and showcasing its importance.
