Haribo at Pontefract is one of the main factories to produce the famous gummy sweets we all know and love. Around 1,000 different Haribo products are produced worldwide, so having the correct documentation for their sites is key in maintaining a safe working environment.
At Hunters, Construction, Design and Management (CDM) Regulations 2015 are our bread and butter and was the basis of our business when the company began back in 2012. Since 2012 we continue to educate and regularly manage sites according to these regulations. So when Haribo got in touch in 2018 to assist with some new documentation and training around the CDM regulations, we couldn’t wait to get stuck in.
We worked with a select group of Haribo senior managers from both production and health and safety in order to accurately review and produce some new documentation when managing contractors on their site. We not only had meetings with these key personnel, but we were also involved in conversations with ‘on the ground’ employees about how improvements could be made to any current documentation.
Following approval of the new CDM documents we then trained the main duty holders of these documents, as well as providing an overview of the CDM Regulations 2015 to a large number of employees who may be involved in ongoing projects.
