Hunter Safety Netherlands was appointed as HSE Manager for B-Built who are building a state-of-the-art freezer facility for NewCold in Montauban-de-Bretagne, France. This €34 million project is expected to last 15 months, completing later in Spring 2021.
The facility will be one of the largest in France with a storage capacity of over 700,000 m3, comparable to the volume of one million household refrigerators.
The facility will be using state of the art technology including Automated Storage Retrieval Systems (ASRS) to automatically store and move products in the high bay warehouse. The low oxygen environment will also eliminate the risk of fire from the inside, whilst also using a fraction of the energy required for conventional cold stores.
Hunter Safety Netherlands has been at the forefront of this project, supporting the B-Built Management Team, especially during the COVID pandemic. Hunter assisted with organisation and governance of COVID controls for the multi-national workforce who needed to complete key operations in order to keep the project running at schedule.
